When you start to clean the oven, start by removing the grill inside; Soak it in soapy water and let the mixture on for 20 minutes, and then rub the grill with a sponge. After you made sure you can use cleaning products, remove food debris inside the oven. Use your vacuum cleaner to get rid of all the crumbs; an alternative is to use a wet sponge. The next step is to get to the actual cleaning. If you do not want to use a commercially cleaning product, there are many solutions that you can use as an alternative.

The first ingredient that you can use is ammonia. All you have to do is apply ammonia over the debris with a sponge and let it act for half an hour. Then, remove it with a cloth soaked in water. Keep in mind to rinse well the oven, unless you want it to smell of ammonia.

Baking soda is always proved to be a real help in the home. It can be used including for oven cleaning. A paste by mixing baking soda and water and apply it on the surface of the oven; leave a few minutes to take effect and rub the inside of the oven with a sponge.

Another mixture that you can use consists of a quarter cup of vinegar, a little dish soap and two cups of warm water. Add the mixture into a spray and after you sprinkle some baking soda in the oven, apply the spray solution and rub with a cloth or sponge.

Regarding glass furnace, the obtained solution of water and vinegar is always the easiest and most effective. If you fail to clean the glass, you can take it off from the inside of the oven, to make it easier to wash.
